EARN Initiative
Empowering Employees. Achieving Success. Responding to Change. Networking to Connect.
The mission of EARN is to create a workplace culture where our employees are engaged, supported, and valued. We aim to provide our employees with the tools they need to succeed both professionally and personally. We are committed to fostering a culture of growth, development, and community, where all employees can thrive.
Employee Engagement
We invest in our Employees by identifying and creating programs that drive involvement and motivation. Freed Maxick’s leaders stay current on trends both inside and outside of our industry, continually adjusting and improving our goals and programming to ensure that our efforts yield actionable results.
Networking
Freed Maxick regularly sponsors events where employees can interact with each other, clients, colleagues and prospects. These include networking/social gatherings, joint trainings with clients, as well as participation in community outreach programs. Our many networking opportunities help to build invaluable professional relationships.
Mentoring, Sponsorship and Coaching
Career support starts on day one with our Buddy System and continues throughout your time at Freed Maxick. Each employee benefits from the support of our performance advisors, Career Coach and Learning and Development Manager. Furthermore, as you progress in your career, a sponsor will guide your development to ensure you are making a visible and valuable impact across the firm.
Finding Balance
We recognize the need for balance between personal responsibilities and professional obligations. Not only is Freed Maxick a hybrid workplace, we also offer programs like Max Flex and a flexible work week that allow you to work from anywhere, anytime. Our virtual “Watercooler” connects all local and remote employees both personally and professionally. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers one-on-one coaching. And our Living Well, Working Well program offers access to health and wellness apps and information – along with important initiatives like Mental Health Weeks.
Learning & Development
To assist employees in achieving their personal goals, we offer a yearly training calendar that aligns with our core competencies and career profiles. Employees can view the expectations for their current levels and review the responsibilities for the levels ahead. Our “Learning Lab” allows individuals to easily select courses according to their specific competency, level and department.
Community Focus
“In it for the Community” is one of our core values. We understand how fortunate we are, and strive to make a difference by engaging in numerous firmwide charitable initiatives. Yet we also offer compensated time for our team members to devote to organizations that are meaningful to them personally. At Freed Maxick, we believe we are responsible for not only fostering dynamic professionals, but benevolent leaders and contributors as well.
Inclusivity and Social Responsibility
We foster belonging and empowerment in and outside of the workplace. At Freed Maxick, we find great value in the ideas that spring from having varied perspectives, cultures and backgrounds among our employees. We celebrate and embrace multiple approaches and points of view, and as an inclusive workplace, our employees are comfortable bringing their authentic selves to their careers. We also incorporate sustainable practices and programs into our everyday operations to protect our people and the planet.

Women in Leadership Series
We recognize the value of diversity and the importance of building a workplace culture that supports the professional development of all employees. Our Women in Leadership series aims at addressing the challenge of women leaving public accounting well before they have the opportunity to grow into leadership positions.
